Digg has done a lot of changes since. One of the features they have taken out is the blogging feature, wherein you can blog about the things you digg and submit to the social bookmarking site. This is a bummer, as I have purposely set this blog up for that reason. However, I don't want to waste this space, and hence I decided to add something in!
Another feature that DIGG has gotten rid of is the Shout feature. The Shout feature was the easiest way to communicate with your mutual friends in DIGG to give them attention to what you have dugg and submitted. This is no longer available.
There are other social media avenues that have since replaced it. DIGG has put on a connection to Facebook and Twitter so you can broadcast to a much wider audience about the latest news and items that you have dugg and submitted. You can also email it to friends who are not necessarily in any of these social networks and inform them of the interesting find. These have all replaced the Shout feature.
Digg seems to be evolving still and trying to catch up with the latest trends in Web 2.0 social media space. So, watch out for more exciting changes, as DIGG goes through the times!
